The ExpressCard slot on my Sony Vaio works, but the unit still runs a 32bit version of XP.
Should I upgrade to Linux?
The Vaio doesn't have any Linux drivers posted, so I fear there's a chance the slot won't work under Linux.
Windows XP still supported?

Re: Windows XP still supported?
No, Windows XP is not supported. It may still work with older versions of the client, and for CPU folding, but there are missing libraries and other resources needed for the current version and GPU folding.
Re: Windows XP still supported?
Ok, thanks. I'll see if I can find a cheap upgrade amongst my stack.
From where is Windows (32 bit) supported, Win Vista? Win 7? The higher I go in Windows, the lower the chance of the XP drivers to be compatible.
I would try Linux, if I was sure my laptop was fully supported (in specific the WLAN and ExpressCard slot drivers).
