GPU memory Folding performance question
Now that GPU prices are starting to come down I am thinking about adding another GPU to the farm. Is there any benefit to getting a 1060 6GB over a 1060 3GB, and if there is would it running on a 8x PCIE connection vs. a 16x connection matter?

Re: GPU memory Folding performance question
The main advantage of the 6 GB version of the 1060 is that it has more shaders, 1280 vs. 1152 on the 3 GB card.
There should be little difference in throughput between running on 8x compared to 16x PCIe.

Re: GPU memory Folding performance question
(Depending on the price difference) I would take the 6GB card. I guess that 3GB might be not enough for gaming in a few years, so it could be easier to sell a 6GB card.
