I have one computer on Alzheimer's, the other on Parkinson's. Both have been cruising along wonderfully.

I've had 3 computers (11 GPUs) on 'any' and disabled firewalls for over a day now with no hang ups that I've noticed, and I've been checking very regularly.

Yes, the issue has been identified and fixed. Everything should now work as usual.

It's a mixture of the two, but if you eliminate the word "purely" you're probably closer to the truth.Adam A. Wanderer wrote:Is it purely random, or is there some "system"?
First, the AS looks at the characteristics of your hardware and logically makes a list of all WS that have WUs that will work on your hardware. That list is modified by project priority and by by disease preference and finally the choice is randomized.
One really important step: When a server is down or runs out of WUs, it's eliminated during the list-making step. Bottom line: the message "Empty work server assignment" makes sense if you realize that the list of work servers can be reduced to zero in some rare cases (the most notorious case currently being looking for work for 7 CPU with a FAHClient version that can't negotiate that number.)

Mod - Merged with existing topic, check previous posts. If you are actually still having an issue getting jobs from this WS, post details here. - j

That's called a "work-around", not a "fix".Aurum wrote:I have not had a single hang since I selected cause Alzheimer's.

How about then someone shouldn't have merged my post. Because it's either not fixed or I have a separate issue.Joe_H wrote:How about 3 days ago. Posted several posts above your first post today by toTOW.ComputerGenie wrote:In the last 2 hours?foldy wrote:It's fixed

That is not what you posted, you asked if they were fixed so it was merged with the existing topic. You have posted nothing so far to show you still have a problem, or that it is different from the previous problem.

Indeed, but one I feel really good about.ComputerGenie wrote:That's called a "work-around", not a "fix".Aurum wrote:I have not had a single hang since I selected cause Alzheimer's.
Workaround is as good as we can expect. You'd think they'd get F@H 7.4.17 done. My workaround for that is to use 7.4.15.
I just noticed, in 3 days I'll be in the Billionaires Club
