Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
The current GTX 1080 Win driver only contains the driver for that one card, and no other cards. It will be hard to mix Pascal with other families of GPUs until Nvidia updates the drivers again.
How to provide enough information to get helpful support

Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
From the CLI run the nvidia-smi command. It will output the watts used along with the GPU utilization. Run it several times to get a rough estimate.

Also, was your Ti at stock or overclocked? This is on stock settings for the 1080.

Thanks, good info, assume this will change over time. Am waiting anyway until a hybrid version ready before diving into getting one of these.7im wrote:The current GTX 1080 Win driver only contains the driver for that one card, and no other cards. i7 7800x RTX 3070 OS= win10. AMD 3700x RTX 2080ti OS= win10 .

This same project on my 980Ti I am doing the same with a estimated PPD of 713k. Will be interesting to see what kind of overclock can be done and the results.

Running your system under Linux will boost things up.
Results from my both 980Ti, running with GPU-Core 1460/1470 MHz under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (data from HFM).

Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
I've got a Linux machine, so I will possibly swap them out. The issue I have at the moment with Linux is that coolbits will only work on 1 card for me. Using Zorin 9.

Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
You only need to edit your xorg.conf as followed:
1. Open a Terminal:
sudo nvidia-xconfig --enable-all-gpus (Return)
sudo nvidia-xconfig --cool-bits=28 (Return)
. . .should solve your problem.
After a reboot cool-bits should work on both GPU´s . . .

Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
If only at 97 there is some improvement opportunities there either from Linux or better GPU drives.
Coolbits works for multiple GPUs as well. You may have to edit it xorg if you don't have a monitor for each card.

I have only one monitor for 3 cards. What is the edit that needs to be done?mmonnin wrote:If only at 97 there is some improvement opportunities there either from Linux or better GPU drives.

Open the section called "Overclocking multiple GPUs for better folding numbers"
http://www.overclock.net/t/1550955/ubun ... guide/0_30
I have used this. I make them Screen 1/Screen 2, Monitor 1/Monitor2. 980Ti and 570 in the same system. Prior to that 2x 570s.
These 2 links will get you the Powermiser/thermal settings section for each GPU

For a third GPU it may be that cool-bits needs to be 32.

@Nebulae or Torin3: I'm interested in GTX 1080 pcie bus usage. Can you check the GPU pcie bus usage while folding with e.g. msi afterburner?
