While Prime95 is widely used, a prim95-stable machine is not necessarily a FAH stable machine as the instruction-mix is quite different.

I'd recommend re-running StressCPU now that you believe you've fixed the problem. It uses a gromacs-like test which, like FAH for CPUs, focuses the stress on highly optimized SSE. Stressing the FPU is pretty much the same for x86 and amd64.
