Incorrect Amount of Points Gotten?

Hi! I started folding a few days ago, and I have noticed that my points received are drastically different from what the client lists out. My most recently completed project notes "Final credit estimate, 7178.00 points". However, when I check the web control, I only received 1000 points, going from 12879 to 13879. I have completed a total of 26 work units as well, and have a "valid" passkey entered. Thank you in advance for the help. Please let me know if any other information is necessary.

Computer Specs: Intel Xeon X5650 @ 2.67 GHz, 12 GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro 2000
Network Connection: Cable, using Norton Antivirus, getting 30-40+ mbps
Operating System: Windows 10, being forced to latest patches so it should be all up to date
Overclocked?: Not overclocked
Stable?: Computer has not been crashing
Software: Using Client Control Version 7.4.4

Not sure what was responsible for the amount you saw in your web control, but there is a delay from the time a WU is turned in and the database getting updated. Usually within an hour, but can occasionally take a bit longer.

Not sure what was responsible for the amount you saw in your web control, but there is a delay from the time a WU is turned and the database getting updated. Usually within an hour, but can occasionally take a bit longer.

I just noticed that it updated shortly after I removed my GPU from folding. I am not sure if that was the factor that gave me the remainder of the points, as the GPU was stuck on folding the same thing for 3 days and had only completed 40% of it. The previous ones did not credit me for the amount listed however. For example, when I folded WU#25, I was awarded 537 points (12342 --> 12879) despite the log at that point listing "Final credit estimate, 2937.00 points". I have another work unit completed in the next 30-60 minutes, so I will see if this time after the GPU was removed I am corrected the right amount. If so, I will update at that point and this issue would be solved. Thank you for the information!

Removing a GPU from folding will not award a 'remainder" of points.

The points were credited naturally about an hour later, as was explained earlier.

Not sure if this is the 1000 points you saw, but checking the most recent results shown as turned in by systems you are running showed this WU:

Whether that is from the web control page updating and coincidentally showing the increase from a few days earlier, or another reason, the amount matches what you noticed right after turning in the more recent WU.

I am not sure what was happening previously and why it took so many work units to get the little amount of points that I received, but everything seems to be good now. After folding last night my points have been increasing by a very noticeable amount. Thank you guys for the help!

Check the FAQ for passkeys. When you get a new passkey, the first 10 WUs do not earn a bonus, although the V7 client assumes you've completed those first 10 WUs.
(You now have 13 Bonus Finished WUs.)
