project 9626 (run 1, clone 20, generation 5)

Post by jimerickson »

this is the latest in a long series of these projects i have folded. i am just wondering why the ETA is always so far off on these? i got this one this morning and it is 48% done yet the ETA is 2.35 days. is it FAHControl having a problem? it messes with my head when my ppd goes so low from these. anyone have any ideas?

FAHClient creates a databse of previous executions of a specific project, so it SHOULD learn how fast your machine is after it has run a particular project a few times. That also means that if you pause the client or sleep the OS, a much longer processing time may be recorded and used as an initial estimate. To avoid this problem, use FINISH if you're planning for the processing to be suspended more than briefly.

Jimerikson is this on a Windows box or a Linux box if it is Windows there may be hope for the problem here. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=28226 I have not had a slowdown or a Bad State with a core 21 WU since doing what I recommended in that thread. But I have also not had a P9625-9643 WU since I did it but it may be worth trying.
