I found that the application stops working soon before working 6 hours because of the 100% power value requirement. Somehow the application and the internal phone systems (wifi) makes descend the battery charge although the charger is connected, the phone is not being used and the screen is out.
I think that if you take down the limit to 95% (after getting a initial 100% to start) or something like that will be fine.
I think that the Xperia charging system is designed to work with hysteresis, this is, till 100% charge each time the charger is connected but if the charge gets lower with the charger still connected the system does not refill the battery till some lower percent point is achieved.
It will be worth investigating and fixing this problem because it happened many times that I assumed the application was contributing but it was not.

What charger are you using? My X2 works fine on the 1.5A charger, with the screen on. In comparison, with the screen on and browsing the net, it drains the battery with a 500mA charger (also the maximum current for a PC USB port)
