I installed the latest version of F@H on a server to donate unused cycles since it sits for long periods of time not doing much.
My question is, does the F@H process start before a user logs on or does it wait until a user logs in? For security reasons I don't want a user logged into the server. I selected the system level option during installation of F@H.

Re: System Level Process Questions
The custom install options are listed in the install guide on the fah site. One option starts fah only when a user logs in. Or the service option starts fah when the computer is turned on, no user login required. Note the service option only works for cpu folding, no GPU folding.

The system level service was the one I was curious about, thanks. Good to know it can still fold from the login screen.7im wrote:The custom install options are listed in the install guide on the fah site. One option starts fah only when a user logs in.
