Hi, is someone with Maxwell getting any Core 17 WUs on fah/advanced these days? I'm asking because I have not received a Core 17 WU in days now and it seems people on Linux are out of work too:

viewtopic.php?f=96&t=26869

Previously I'd get at least 9201/9202/7814 WUs, but not anymore apparently?

On Beta we (Maxwell users) do get Core 18 WUs, but these suffer from low PPD.

No, don't think I've seen a core 17 for almost two weeks and have never had a core 18. I have two GTX750Ti's under W7, one with -advanced set and one without, both just getting core 15s. I'm royally pissed off and thinking of giving up. As I said in another thread, I don't mind doing my share of core 15s but I seem to be doing several others' shares as well. I think this is the most negative I've felt about the project in almost eight years of folding.

3 750Ti and 3 980. Only core 15, advanced and normal. Beta, core 18 and very slow PPD. Over 15H 980, 750Ti 1d and 6H, p1047x

Yepp, but fix is on the way, but very slow. Next week i planned 5 more 980 and 4 970, but they most fix maxwell problems before i by more cards. Happy folding on slow 980/970 cards

I'm also having problems with my newly built (non-clocked) and fully updated Windows 7 folding rig. My (MSI) GTX 980 folds project 7623 fine, but the (Asus) GTX Titan fails with BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72) for project 13001 constantly. Here are my the logfile from folding, and dumps from msinfo and dxdiag:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5465030/fahlog.txt
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5465030/msinfo.txt
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5465030/DxDiag.txt

I've set F@H to client-type advanced, but it still fails and retries project 13001; can I reset the slot in some way?

EDIT: I've removed the GPU slots, saved and added them again, but still no luck. And whats even more weird is that GPU-Z says that it's the Titan that's is being utilized and the GTX 980 that's passive - however F@H says the other way around. I'll try to remove one card from the rig and see which one actually works.

EDIT: When I remove either of the cards the one left folds as normal. And I even tried to change the PCI slots I've put them in. But as soon as I have both cards in simultatiously the GTX Titan starts failing with "FahCore returned: BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72)". I've also tried removing the GPU slots from F@H, saved and added them again - by hardcoding indexes. But no luck. Can anyone even hint what is going on here?

RESOLVED: It seems like my problem was UNRELATED to this thread - thus it didn't fail because of some nasty MAXWELL issue, but it failed because of how the F@H windows client does the PCI-device enumeration. Apparently the order of GPUs are switched in the F@H UI vs. the cores - (This should definitely be fixed, and is TRULY A BUG). My remedy was to clear my GPU slots and re-add them with a fixed gpu-index and fixed opencl & cuda-index. Config is now GPU #1: GPU-Index: 1, OpenCl-index: 0, Cuda-index: 1; GPU #2: GPU-Index: 0, OpenCl-index: 1, Cuda-index: 1. Found a nice walktrough how to figure that out here: viewtopic.php?f=96&t=26334&p=264362&hilit=opencl+index#p264564

Until we have a Maxwell-compatible Core 17/Core 18/drivers, can we at least get an update on why projects which (for some reason) had no problems folding on Maxwells before are no longer being assigned though? I am referring to P9201/9202/7814.

Thanks.

This was answered elsewhere.

It's not a problem with the Assignment Server but rather with the Work Server(s) that issue those WUs (so technically, this is in the wrong topic, but you didn't know that). The PG is aware of the problem.

one of my laptops running uni (just because it has nothing better to do) has been running into issues with getting wu's. looking up ip's it keeps directing me to, they don't show up on serverstat page, so something may be out of whack.
looking at serverstat page the classic servers aren't really out of wu's from what i can tell

Also note that a change in the server status page this Summer has it just showing Work Servers, not the Assignment Servers. Those IP addresses are for AS's.

ah that explains that part of it

and sadly i cannot throw nacl at it to fix the issue (chromium apparently doesn't support it, and full chrome barfed at install complaining about a missing package that is actually installed by default), so i'll give it a few days and if nothing i'll retire this laptop to the attic where all stuff that has no usefulness left in it goes.

Looks like they "Fixed" the assignment servers again.

Today, no core 17 work on my Maxwell cards.

Still seem to be getting core 17 work on my other Nvidia GPUs.
