Which is when fah-web.stanford.edu was taken down for maintenance, related?

"fah-web.stanford.edu going down at 1pm pacific time for planned maintenance. We expect it will be down for about 30 minutes," says VP.

Which must be the longest 30 minutes in history!

Possibly, planned maintenance downtimes are notorious for being more than a little approximate on occasion

But in this case I suspect that when the server came back up, some connection or something didn't. Or it could just be coincidence.
