Something very strange is going on...
I normally have 5 folding clients active 24/7 ( 3 GPUs and 1 CPU in 1 machine then 1 CPU in my work laptop on the NaCl folding software)
This registers as 5 clients on the F@H contributions website.
Occasionally I have a GTX680 also folding (generally on FATs) and this adds a 6th client.
Today the contributions page is showing that I have 7 clients folding...but I have not personally added anything!
has anyone else seen a jump in the number of clients active in last 7 or 50 days?
Cheers,
Mitche01
EDIT - OK someone is folding for me!! I have just received 21k and none of my clients are due to score that (3 gpus are at 70%, 23%, 64% on core 17 9202 WUs - normallscore around 16k for my 650tis) my CPU in the folding rig is at 97% for a 1.4k score and my NaCl folder doesnt score more than 625 an hour!
All I can say is thank you to whoever is folding on my username/team/passkey!!
Oh and how the heck they get that!!! - I have not emailed anyone this information
Unexplained client increase on my passkey

Re: Unexplained client increase on my passkey
It is highly unlikely someone can use your passkey, unless you actually display it in a post or give it to them.
Sometimes what we consider to be a minor configuration change can cause what you're seeing. You say you have one NACL client running but I can see 3 different CPUid that have returns for 125 points over the last 3 days. Any time the CPUid changes your count will go up. If you make absolutely no changes during the next 7 days your count will probably return to what you would consider normal.
One example that could cause this is a re-install of Chrome ... this would cause your count to be inflated for 7 days as the newly installed software would identify your client differently.

Re: Unexplained client increase on my passkey
Hi Bollix47,
I could account of the change in CPU-ID as was upgraded to Win7 ar work so did re-install the software (inc chrome).
So that is 2 CPU ids accounted for.
What isnt accounted for is the score of 21k. Nothing I am monitoring would have scored that at the time in which I received the score!

Re: Unexplained client increase on my passkey
The addition of the following two returns plus a few 125 point units and the total would be ~21K.

Re: Unexplained client increase on my passkey
I will have to double check the log when I get home.
I am still unsure of how a re-install of chrome would jump the client count from 5 to 7 though...surely that is only 5 to 6?
