When you remove hardware, you have no way to guarantee that FAHClient will remove the slot that belongs to that GPU. When you add a GPU, you have no way of knowing if the new GPU will take over the existing slot and the old GPU will get a new one. Until there's a version of FAHClient which can manage multiple GPUs properly, not only is it difficult to know if the initial configuration got it right or not and that same dilemma comes up again when you add/remove GPUs.

Suppose you have two GPUs. Either you have a system that's properly configured or you have one in which the names of the GPUs are interchanged. You have to test with a Pause and see which one stops to figure that out. Once you've figured it out, you can either just remember that fact, or you can reconfigure the index settings to correct it. If, when changing the index values, you already have one or two WUs assigned, they might or might not match the hardware.

*Sorry, didn't see the post above...
Tried re-installing and removing that GPU again, no luck. Even when I remove the FX580 slot, it reverts back to it on start-up.

I verify that I'm removing the right graphics card by pausing it and checking for "pause: true". When the computer is restarted or the client is reopened, the FX580 pops back in as the default GPU.

No, setting pause will always place the pause=true in the slot you select. You need to check the temperatures of the GPUs or use some other monitoring software that identifies which GPU is working (or {carefully} feel the change in temperature of the air from the fan or from the GPU, itself.

I guess I'll just deal with the video lag then. Shame the FAH can't identify GPUs a bit better than 1 or 2.
