Welcome to the F@H Forum Whiteshadow,

You can fold successfully on that system. You can use the V7 application (viewtopic.php?f=96&t=26025) or the Folding App which runs in the Chrome browser and is currently in Open Public Beta (viewtopic.php?f=95&t=25878). Both options will work on Windows, Linux and OSX.

Do note that you can choose whatever option nets you the most Points Per Day (PPD). Also ensure that you are using a passkey (http://folding.stanford.edu/home/faq/faq-passkey/) so that you can get Quick Return Bonus (QRB) once you are qualified for it which will help you increase your PPD if you are using the V7 application.
