I ran into a few issues and am wondering if I should just scrap my projects and reinstall the client, or if I should try to recover lost work.
I had been folding in Adaks name and wanted to return back to my own user name. I had set all set three slots to finish (2 GPU, 1 CPU), and everything but one CPU project was done. There was a scheduled outage from the power company today, so I set the client to off in an attempt to keep it from taking on new projects and shut down (forgot about max-projects=1). Upon reboot, the CPU is no longer listed, just the two GPUs.
Should I be trying to recover the lost CPU project from data on my hard drive, is the WU likely lost and timing out, or did the work just go to another user when I selected off and rebooted?

Re: Missing WU and CPU after set slider to off and reboot.
Hello Blake85, welcome to the forum.
Easiest way to recover, if possible, is to re-install the client. No need to uninstall. If that doesn't bring back the CPU slot, please post again with a copy of the log, including the *** system *** section.

Thanks! No luck yet. I tried the express and custom installation options, but haven't selected delete data yet.

Re: Missing WU and CPU after set slider to off and reboot.
CPU data is gone. And the image probably doesn't have that specific WU in it. Even if it did, you would bring back two old GPU work units as well. No need.
Right click on each GPU slot to select Finish. When finished, uninstall including the data. Then reinstall, and configure as needed.
P.S. You never need to touch the power slider. Either just Quit the program, or right click to Pause the slots.
Please do not edit the config file manually. Always make changes through FAHControl.

Makes sense, thx. (Note: just before reading your reply I was able to reapply CPU through configure->slots->add-> CPU "-1")
BTW - Thanks for all your efforts on the forum. I don't know how you keep track of everything!
