Re: Where are all the Core17 units?
If it's relevant to the discussion I've had a mixed bag of 8018 and 8900 units in the last few days; The last three or four to come down have been 8900.

I cannot say of it is pattern or not since it was one unit. I am back on core 15 (project 8018) again (which realy hurt my PPD)
I haven´t seen P8018 for weeks - running 3 GPUs.

FYI, additional FahCore-17 WUs are being generated (http://folding.stanford.edu/home/more-c ... n-the-way/).

Re: Where are all the Core17 units?
Well all I seem to get now are Core 15 (P8018)
If this keeps up I will have to drop my GPU Folding Rigs.
I only have three rigs with a total of 12 GPU's. The cost for Core 15 are to high for me. 3000+ Watts running 24 hour a day.
They take 4 to 8 hour (8 Hours on a GTX 760) to run and 5757 Credit and last each take 140 to 160 Watts more to run then the Core 17 at its 25,000 to 38,000 Credits.

Re: Where are all the Core17 units?
The work server for the core 17 projects is currently down. PG has been notified.
This may or may not be related to the recent blog post concerning a new GPU assignment server.

Well you can look at like this Core 15 may I say May be better the No Cores at all and be in a Ready State.
Looks like the Server is back I did get One Core 17.

Re: Where are all the Core17 units?
I've been getting Core 17 units randomly... Seems to be every 3rd WU or so. I just got one a little bit ago, but for the last two days my GPU had been working through a Core 15 unit.

Welcome to the forum !7im wrote:And not getting core 17 does not indicate a lack of those WUs. It indicates core 15 is set at a higher priority on the servers. To know if there is a lack of core 17 WUs, you would need to check the WU count on that work server.

Re: Where are all the Core17 units?
When core 17 went public a while back, all those projects joined the pool of all other public GPU projects. Now it's just luck of the draw from the pool on the assignment servers, like usual.

327.23 should also be ok - at least for me.bcavnaugh wrote:326.80 Beta is the only way to go now with any GTX 6xx and GTX 76x and 77x Video Cards. any Card with a GK104 GPUheikosch wrote:That is GeForce 320.49.beer wrote:I am using driver 9.18.13.2049.

Re: Where are all the Core17 units?
Oops... I read through the thread, but missed that paragraph, of course. I don't have an issue with running other projects (though it appears that others do), at this time of year, heat is heat! And, since I'm in Pennsylvania and not Australia, I can use all the heat I can get.X1900AIW wrote:See #2 from 7im in this thread:nadams wrote:I've been getting Core 17 units randomly... Thanks for the welcome to the forum. I've been folding for a few years, just never really looked for a folding forum. I recently started looking in to tweaking my client, and it led me here. I was not aware that I needed to set the CPU folding slot down to free up one core for GPU processing, so that was the first thing I learned!
Re: Where are all the Core17 units?
I see a new core 17 WU, the p9401, which I'm guessing is newly released out of Beta, or something like that. I sent my first one in earlier, & I'm around 10% done with the second. On my GTX 680, it's showing a little over 38k ppd. EDIT: BTW, this is with the 332.21 WHQL drivers.
