so im having troubles.
on my first project it computes the whole thing to 99.99 percent at 10,000+ points per day. then it doesnt finish.
it restarts at 32 percent and now im getting only 168 points per day. so i dont know whats going on. i would really like to contribute efficiently

If you would like to attach lots technical info like log files it's easier for us to read when included in
[ code ] lots lots lots text [ /code ].
Without the space close to brackets.
Like this
If you switch your editor to "advanced edit" there will be some buttons for it.
Life sample with your log

Sounds about right with the points:
If you look in the
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html you see for project 7504 a deadline of 5.2 days and 644points ... That's 123 PPD. With your ETA of 4 days it comes to 161 PPD.
The initial PPD estimations of the client is often wrong the first frames of a WU, it adjust over the time and get getter. Relevant is only the final credit provide after WU is returned to Stanford server.
You might want to consider putting a decent graphic card into the system and let the Atom CPU feed the GPU, this would give you much better points. Folding on an Atom is not very ... productive. When a work unit is only delivered close to the deadline it's risky that any other disturbance get you behind that line and you worked for nothing. Try to aim on the "preferred days"; 3.1 in your current case. only faster then that bring you additional bonus points.
Update: here is a bonus point calculator, very handy at times Here is a bonus point calculator:

The Atom CPU is specifically designed for battery installations where low power drain is MUCH more important that processing speed. (I've seen the Atom used in a few desktop systems where power drain really isn't that critical but that doesn't change the processing speed. If your system is a laptop where a GPU cannot be added, there's not much you can do. The Atom is just too slow for FAH except in really unusual situations. If your system does have a slot where a powerful GPU could be installed, then ChristianVirtual's suggestion is an excellent one.
In this particular case, we really don't have enough information to know if you could have completed the WU before the deadlines. You did encounter a known bug in FAH's software. Something happened when your WU reached 32% and processing ceased. When that happens, the monitor continues to report progress up to 99% even though no progress is being made. That non-productive time does count against the deadline, however.
We might be able to tell what happened at 32% if you find one of the previous logs that shows that event. They're found in a subfolder of the FAH Data Directory called "logs" and they're named by date and time. Avoiding events like that would certainly help.
