No Descriptions

Hello,

My last two WU have contained no descriptions of any kind at all. I always check and read the descriptions of the projects that my WU's are associated with so I find it highly disappointing to see no information given.

I find my enthusiasm for folding is greatly diminished when my computer has its CPU nailed up to 100% and I have no idea what it is for.

You can always check the project number in the Project Summary, which is linked at the top of the forums.

Hopefully someone can notify the appropriate PG member about this.

Work units 10141-10145 donot have any description.But there is an email address for the project manager...Gregorybowman@gmail.com if anyone wants to write.Also it is taken for granted that all the links are at top of forum but if you change from default view,mine is Artodian,ithey are't there.Here is link to summary page in case you don't see it.. http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html

My understanding is that a number of project descriptions need to be re-entered on the server to work properly with the web site after all of the changes made earlier this year. Hopefully that will include this project soon. In the meantime, from the posting announcing the beta test of a group that includes 10145:

These projects aim to elucidate the dynamics of dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR). This protein is a drug target for diseases like cancer and antibiotic resistance. Therefore, there has been extensive experimental work on this protein to test new simulation approaches against. Moreover, our understanding of how this protein works is still incomplete, so we hope to gain deeper insight that will facilitate rational control of DHFR’s activity.

The projects were moved to full FAH as of Oct. 21 - viewtopic.php?f=24&t=14714&start=180#p250576.
