This is a great prize choice. I know Dr. Levitt very well and he's been a mentor and advisor for me and Folding@home since its inception. His prize was given, in large part, due to the significance of his key contributions to the foundations of Molecular Dynamics (MD) and molecular simulation in general years ago, with many ideas way ahead of their time. MD is at the very heart of Folding@home.
