Another of my WUs has been credited, that leaves 2 outstanding... is there any way (short of posting a list of the PRCG's here) that I can find out which are still missing? The estimated credits are too close to reliably work it out from those.

Unless you kept track of the PRCGs in your logs or an app like HFM, then no. Posting them would be the only way then.

I know the PRCG's of the WU's uploaded since the stats system fell over, where can I look up their status?

I don't mind posting them here if there's a real problem, but I don't want to waste someone else's time if they should turn out to be just delayed rather than lost.

You asked which WUs are missing and how to find them, not how to look them up for points status. Very different questions. Here is the different answer. Unless you used HFM to track the WUs there is no way for you to check individual WU credits by PRCG. Only the Mods can do that.

In any case I recommend patience when there have been server issues. It takes a while for the backlog to process.

Fair enough, my bad wording. Sorry about that.

I've no intention of raising queries until I'm as sure as possible that there's a problem, but it could have been useful in general to be able to check a specific WU.

But if I can't then I can't!

Checking individual WUs is process intensive on the Stats DB. If everyone could look up each individual WU, it would bury the current stats server. This kind of access has been a perpetual request. I don't know if it will ever be a public option. The money to do that is probably better spent on research and work servers instead when on a limited budget.

Thanks for the explanation, and I agree about the money aspect.

There are a lot of things in life that would be nice to have but can't be justified... I've got quite a list of my own :(

It would be great to implement a simple email confirmation to those donors with passkey on confirmed WU and points. That would reduce the number of requests to admins/mods and kind of close the loop. A Subject line contain PRCG info, timestamp and points would satisfy many donors desire/needs.

How many WU get finished each hour in average ?

Alright, we tracked down some logs that hadn't been put into the stats DBs. Hopefully this covers all of them, if not then please post PRCG's so we can track them down.

Thanks,
Christian

It would certainly satisfy mine, and your point about "closing the loop" is a very valid one. There is a bit of a "black hole" feeling about uploading WU's.

I don't have any exact figures, but just in the relatively short period that the stats server was not updating well over 100,000 WU's built up on the WS's waiting to be entered into the stats. That I could see just by checking the server status page. Somebody from PG might be able to give a more definite answer, but just from what I could see the number was in the 8-10K WU's per hour range at least. Sending that many emails would be its own resource sink, not something I would call for.

Will do, but I'll take 7im's hint and give it plenty of time to clear the backlog.

Not to mention that you'd probably get blacklisted as a spam site!

That's a heck of a lot of emails.

After the latest (21:00 UTC) update run, all outstanding WUs present and correct.

Many thanks for your efforts.
