Is there a way to merge points received?

Post by phrost »

I've been folding for a long time.. mostly for Google team but also for a short while for another random team. Is there any way I can take the points from the other team and merge them into my main Google team account?

No, there is not, sorry. Once points have been credited to a name and team, they cannot be moved to any other name and/or team.

Is it possible to change the team of which a username is a member?

And if it is, do accrued points stay with the old team or follow it to the new one?

Yes, just open up the configuration of the client and change the team number. Accrued points stay with whatever team with which they were earned.

Thanks for the confirmation link- I'd looked in the FAQs, didn't think of the Wiki.

In case anyone is wondering about the "Why?" of my question- I'm running "freelance" atm and wanted to know what would happen if I created a team and joined myself to it. Now I know- my points would continue from where they are now, but the team would start from zero.

The Points FAQ was recently rewritten and simplified, so several of the finer details like this are no longer covered in that document, for better or worse...

For better I think- that sort of page is best kept reasonably simple.

I realised (belatedly!) that there's a link to the Wiki at the top of the forum, but perhaps worth adding a link to it in the "For More Information, Please See:" section at the foot of the FAQ Index?
