How to recover passkey?

I want to reinstall the client and need to re-enter my passkey. I think I have long ago lost this information.

Also, can I reinstall the client mid folding or should I wait until a WU is done?

The passkey is stored in the file config.xml and is stored in the data directory F@H uses. Otherwise requesting a passkey using the same folding username and email address will get you the original passkey resent.

Usually you can reinstall the client without effecting the WU if you are not removing the data directory. It is safer though to finish the current WU and then reinstall.

Why do you need to reinstall? That need is very rare unless you are running an older version?!

In this case it is an older version - 7.1.52. The reinstall was recommended due to the issues raised in a prior topic.
