Deleting work units only hurts the project and should only ever be used as last resort. This is part of the risk you take running late stage beta work units (advanced).
Can you please post what version of the FahCore_17 you are running? You have to navigate to the FahCore_17 directory and run the following command:
Windows -> FahCore_17 --info
Linux (IIRC) -> FahCore_17 --info
The latest version that I have is 0.0.46 so do you too have the same version or not? You can try to delete the FahCore folder and see what happens. Do note that I am currently not folding on advanced setting.
JimF wrote:Then how about going off "Advanced"? Does that cause any problems?
That's a viable option too. Just note that you will not be getting FahCore_17 WUs. However, you will have to delete the WU folder so "free" up the GPU to continue folding on the new WUs which are on full F@H.

Okay, since it doesn't appear to be as simple as copying the v46 core that's in the beta server locations over to the regular server locations the current work unit will have to be deleted in order to get one that will work with the older core(v45) or just leave it and wait for the update.

Remember that, if you are running multiple GPUs, when the core is marked as outdated FAH will not download the new core until the WU on ALL of the cards running with the old Core are completed. I had this happen when the core updated last time, I had three GPUs idle while they waited for the WU on GPU#4 finish up. FAH did download the updated core when the last WU was completed and new WUs on the new core ran just fine on all the GPUs again.
