info on project results

Post by argonaut »

Is it possible to sign up to receive email when a project to which you've donated results in a publication?
Also, to get a list of all the projects you've donated to.
If not, please take these as enhancement suggestions.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum argonaut.

The Blog announces to new papers being released, and you'll most likely have contributed some work to each paper as the work assignments are that varied. You can subscribe to the blog if you like.

They used to have a stats page showing the WUs one folded, but the database grew too large and cumbersome. FAH has been running more than 10 years. You can track your own contributions through 3rd party applications like HFM (see 3rd Party Tools list).

Welcome to the forum, argonaut.

Not sure about signing up for an email notification about publications, but I wouldn't be too hopeful about that. As for keeping track of projects/WUs, you can do that on your own by monitoring the client(s) with HFM, for example. It's not 100% foolproof (you must remember to start it when you start folding, for one), but it's pretty good.

Thanks, that's interesting.
It's less that I myself need/care about this, and more as a project suggestion; linking peoples' donations to concrete results seems more meaningful/satisfying than abstract "points", so might encourage more people to donate. Compared to all the elaborate "points" infrastructure, this seems like a modest enhancement, but I might be wrong.
