memberlist error
I got the always wonderful '404 Page Not Found' error today while perusing the user list
I went to select a random letter 'L' and recieved this http://foldingforum.org/memberlist.php& ... memberlist
or here's the exact copy and paste
Not Found
The requested URL /memberlist.php&first_char=l was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.23 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.23 OpenSSL/1.0.0-fips mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_fcgid/2.3.6 Server at foldingforum.org Port 80

Re: memberlist error
Humm... I can access the member list without any issues -> memberlist.php?first_char=l#memberlist
However, from your URL, I too get the same error. I think that the issue is that you are using a & instead of a ? before first_char=l#memberlist Not sure why that is happening on your system.

Re: memberlist error
Interesting. Will see if I can duplicate the error or if somethings just wonky on my end
//Edit: Just went through the entire list and got the same error for each page.
//Edit2: If I manually change the & to a ? it works. Don't ask why I was searching in the memberlist in the first place. I was bored and the forums aren't very active today.

The invalid page is not found. The valid page is found. Following the .php, what's the next character?
memberlist.php&first_char=l#memberlist
memberlist.php?first_char=l#memberlist
The fundamental question is how/why did you construct an invalid URL?

Re: memberlist error
I just went to the members list link in the top right hand of the screen. It does show the all list. But when I click on a letter it comes up with the '&' char i.e. memberlist.php&first_char=l#memberlist.
The question is, am I the only one that has this issue.
The next question is, Is it that big of an issue? How often do you/I do a manual search through all the forum Idents just to find a person.

Re: memberlist error
No you are not for I have the same exact issue and have had it for a very long time. I don't often need to search for users but my solution has been to use the search inside a new PM (I just don't send the PM) which doesn't seem to have the same issue for me.tlg wrote:The question is, am I the only one that has this issue.

Re: memberlist error
I am using Cyberfox, it's a 64-bit variant of Firefox and am not having this issue. Try to disable all your plugins and see if the issue exists or not. If it doesn't exist, enable your plugins one at a time and test. The one that gives you an error might be the one causing the issue.

Re: memberlist error
On a quick test, I cannot reproduce the problem with FF 21.0 running on Vista 32-bit, but on an AMD 64 processor.

Re: memberlist error
Since folding_hoomer has the some browser and OS as yours and you disable all plug-ins, may i suggest that you do a fresh installation of Firefox. Just back up the bookmarks and any important stuff and during uninstallation, select the option to delete the profiles.tlg wrote:...Disabled all 5 plugins and still get the same result
If this seems too much work, what you can do is to create a new Firefox profile and test if you still receive the error or not. If you are not receiving any error, it means that something in your default profile is causing the issue. If you still have the issue with a new profile, a fresh installation would be the last resort.

I'm going to go ahead and do a complete uninstall.

Re: memberlist error
I have found the cause of this error. I run the ProDark theme. I switched to another (Artodia:Black) and it works fine. Maybe whoever setup the ProDark theme dropped the ball on the links.
//Edit: Only ProDark and ProBlue (Traditional) have this error.
