I am confused what to do...

Post by codalafin »

I installed the client yesterday, and watched it run fine. Today though, I don't know how to start it. The desktop shortcut was supposed to open a web browser link, I thought. But it doesn't do anything. I'm confused where I'm supposed to go to get this to work. I found the .exe that the shortcut referenced to, and running that also does nothing... Help please. :?

You need a shortcut called Folding@Home that is located in Start->All programs->FAHClient to be copied into the Start->All Programs->Startup folder. If done correctly, folding should start whenever you log in. It does not inherently start a browser session. You should however see a folding icon in the systray that can be used to open the browser as well as a variety of other things.

The Web Control, FAHViewer, and FAHControl links are designed just so you can monitor the progress and/or configure folding and are not required to fold.
