[GT 635M] - Lenovo G780 - "Paused:waiting for idle" (solved)
I would like to be able to get a little more done by using the GPU, but it is giving the warning(?) given in the title (Paused:waiting for idle). I've done a little bit of research on my problem, but almost everything I've read is complex and far above my level of knowledge. Mostly, I've looked at the installation pages that F@H provides, as well as some things about my GPU. Any search of "635M" in the forums returns no results. I know it's in the whitelist, and I think I've read about it working. I don't understand why mine is not. Will somebody shed some light on this, or help me get it fixed?

Move the power slider to full, or set the folding systray icon to full. The newest client try's to only run when you are not using it (i.e. when the machine is idle). Changing the mode to full will make it run all the time. However, for many, running the GPU all the time produces lag that will lower your user experience on your machine.

Many thanks, friend. I can't believe it was that easy. Now people who have the same card as me will have something return when they search at least. Thank you again.
EDIT: I'm not familiar with these forums yet. Is there any way to mark a topic as "Solved" or to edit the thread title?

Normally, we don't do anything but I edited the topic title for you.

Actually, if your computer is used only a small part of the day, it will get almost as much work done at the default MEDIUM setting, though FULL is fine, too. FAH works like a screensaver. You can't see what it's doing because the GPU makes progress only when you're not at the keyboard. This avoids some complaints when FAH uses the GPU heavily enough to reduce the responsiveness of your computer when you use it. For many folks, but not all, this change is too small to notice, so for them, FULL is better.

Welcome to the forum, brainard52.
BTW, your "I can't believe it was that easy" comment is sweet music to the ears of the developers who strived to make client v7.3.6 easy to approach for people who haven't tried any distributed computing before, whether they're savvy with their personal computers or not.
