suggested software improvements

Post by jkelly »

SOme of these may be specific to my computer, not the program itself, but earlier versions worked fine.
The CPU cycle metre is missing from my latest version of folding@home, and I thought I would reccomend that it be reinstalled.
The screeen saver mode is also missing from my programs
I cannot cut/copy the about this project to a word processing program. I need to use a text to speech software program for working online. Is there any way to circumvent this.
Anyways, there are my reccomendations.

Which version of the FAH client are you using?

In Version 7 of the client, the about project information can be accessed by clicking on the project number, and it will open up in a web page. Then you can copy and paste this into a word processor program. You must switch to Expert or Advanced mode, which can be changed by a drop down in the top right of the client. Although not actually a screen saver, you can view your current protein by clicking on 'View" at the top of the client.
