Is this collection server having problems?
I just checked one of my seldom used pc's and found about 10 completed WU's in the queue. I checked the server list and it shoes that it hasn't been accepting since Dec 23. What's up with that? The server is 171.67.108.25

Re: Is this collection server having problems?
As mentioned in the first Do This First topic of this forum, that is a collection server which doesn't get reported as it has been out of service for a long time. Can you supply the address of the work server that the WU's were download from? That is where they need to be uploaded to. You can also post which projects these WU's are from, that can also be used to see which WS they came from.
Re: Is this collection server having problems?
There are a total of 9 pending. Eight come from work server 171.67.108.11 and 1 from work server 171.67.108.21
EDIT: Forgot to mention v 7.1.33

Re: Is this collection server having problems?
From the server status page, both of those servers are up and accepting connections. Other systems are uploading completed WU's to them as well. Could you post a portion of your log showing the attempt to upload one of these WU's?

Hope this is enough.

Re: Is this collection server having problems?
Your problem might be related to Ticket 728 which was fixed in 7.1.34. Try upgrading to 7.2.9.EDIT: Forgot to mention v 7.1.33
Re: Is this collection server having problems?
If I upgrade do I loose those 9 WU's and the points? Points don't really matter that much to me, but my team sure can use them.

Re: Is this collection server having problems?
It looks like something is blocking the response from the WS to the upload connection request from your client. Have any changes been made to a firewall or other security setting? That is the first thing I would suggest checking. Can you open a connection in a browser to 171.67.108.11 or 171.67.108.21? Also try to the same addresses with :8080. You should either get a blank page or an OK.
As for the upgrade suggestion, that might be the solution. Between that old of a version and the current one, you might lose the WU's. I don't know in this case, have not made that large of a version jump. Before that, one other thing to try is restarting your system and seeing if they upload. But they might be corrupted WU's, the upload file size is on the small end of results that I have seen.

Re: Is this collection server having problems?
171.67.108.11 give a blank page with OK in the upper left corner, so I guess it's not a firewall issue.
Re: Is this collection server having problems?
I have upgraded many systems from once V7 version to another and have not lost any WUs. I take two precautions: 1) I shut down the old version before trying to upgrade. 2) I install the new version using the same configuration settings that I used earlier. (In my case, that's "Just for me").dickster wrote:If I upgrade do I loose those 9 WU's and the points? Points don't really matter that much to me, but my team sure can use them.
Some upgrades will ask you if you want to keep the current data (The answer is yes, however that was specified.) and other upgrades may not ask but assume you do want to keep whatever data already exists.
At the present time, server 171.67.108.11 is accepting about 400 uploads per hour, so it's certainly working correctly. Most likely the problem is your security software. Many so-called antivirus suites include an anti-spyware component (actually part of a firewall) which blocks any unauthorized uploads. You probably have to tell that software that the fah client is allowed to upload data.
A good first test is to disable your AV suite and see if FAH can upload.

Re: Is this collection server having problems?
Too late now. I had some new hardware and was planning an upgrade. So I did it now and a new v7 install. Lost it all, but it happens now and then.
I can't understand how it could be my security software blocking it. It has been running and sending results for quite a while before this started. No change was made by me. I'm thinking it was maybe a glitch in the client, but we will see how this new install runs.
Thanks to all for your help.
