How do I calculate my computers GFLOP's?
Im just curious as to how many GFLOPS my computer has. If anyone could tell me how to figure that out it would be great.

Someone has probably already done that for many types of processors. Try googling it for your processor.

Sandra software is giving a measure of MIPS and MFLOPS in it's built-in benchmark ... but I don't know if they're similar to "FAH MFLOPS" ...

You can get it on the official website here : http://www.sisoftware.net/
If you're folding with the linux SMP client with maximum verbosity (-verbostity 9), it will display the effective amount of FLOPS at the end of the WU (it's not printed in the log, but displayed by the console output) ... this one is safe

Re: How do I calculate my computers GFLOP's?
For example, from my X2 4400+ @ 2.5 GHz :
Code: Select all
(Mnbf/s) (GFlops) (ns/day) (hour/ns)
Performance: 37.298 5.586 0.435 55.196
Re: How do I calculate my computers GFLOP's?
Yes, they're similar, but FAH only counts the ones that actually go to process WUs that are uploaded. Certain (all??) EUEs don't get reported, and when you're not working on FAH, it doesn't count.toTOW wrote:Sandra software is giving a measure of MIPS and MFLOPS in it's built-in benchmark ... but I don't know if they're similar to "FAH MFLOPS" ...
