GPU: Unsupported

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

GPU: Unsupported

Post by Thumperman »

Is my GPU really unsupported, or is this some kind of naming problem?

Device Manager contains:
ATI Raedon HD 3400 Series

log.txt contains:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz
...
GPU 0: UNSUPPORTED: RV620 LE [Radeon HD 3450]

fahclient --lspci contains:
0x1002:0x95c5:Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI:RV620 LE [Radeon HD 3450]

GPUs.txt contains:
0x1002:0x95c5:::RV620 LE [Radeon HD 3450]

Yes, it is really unsupported. It is too old. The 3xxx series cards do not support OpenCL that the current client needs. Even 4xxx have been discounted and no longer get WU's.

That does not mean you can't fold with your CPU.
