Web page to help recruit members to F@H Team
I know we are not allowed to recruit new members on the F@H site by promoting/begging/asking if people want to join certain teams. Is there a private site somewhere where recruiting is allowable? Its pretty hard for joe user to compete against magazines or organizations to recruit members lol. Thanks as always!

Re: Web page to help recruit members to F@H Team
Well this forum in particular is team-neutral. AFAIK, everywhere else is essentially fair game in that regard. From what I've seen, the typical approach goes like this: 1) introduce F@h, 2) mention how awesome the team is, 3) state that the team needs your help, 4) provide brief download/installation instructions which specifically mention how to insert the team number.
Many of the larger teams have their own website, so obviously recruiting happens there.

F@h is now the top computing platform on the planet and nothing unites people like a dedicated fight against a common enemy. This virus affects all of us. Lets end it together.

Re: Web page to help recruit members to F@H Team
We have no rules concerning recruiting external to this site. So most all teams recruit from their own sites. Mind you, most would look unkindly to the competition trying to poach new members from their own stable.

Re: Web page to help recruit members to F@H Team
As Jeese-V says, most of the teams will have a website or forum on a website where team mebers can chat, offer tips etc
If you do want to join a team, try and find one that shares an interest or is one that you read on a regular basis. Before you make the leap i would just lurk fo ra few days and see if the people on it seem like people you could get on with.
but it is not necessary to join one of the teams unless you wish - never feel pressured into joining a team just because you can, a lot of people just fold for the default team - team 0
