Server 171.67.108.26 - Any Idea when when it will? [Never]

I've just checked http://fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html and the server is not accepting, does anyone know when it will be Accpeting the WU again.

171.67.108.26 - aka CS6 - is one of the collection servers that are essentially off-line ... which is why the status is "standby"

If you post the segment of the log before it reports problems with 171.67.108.26 you'll find that your client tried to upload to a Work Server before it tried the Collection Server. We need to be concerned about the Work server.

This is all explained in the "do this first" post at the top of this forum.

I don't think you understood what bruce was asking. There are TWO different servers and he needs to know the other one. The simplest way to find that is to post a few pages of your log containing the error.

Thanks for the responce but its up and running now. And prosseing 62\250, I dont know much about f@h but I got involved just to get some good utilization out of my Systems. I read the thread better next time. Thank you.

Per the information in this posting, viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17794#p161539, problems with 171.67.108.26 do not get reported. What is the address of the work server your folding client is trying to return the WU to before it tries the inactive collection server?

The Work Server that is trying to be connected to is 171.64.65.56, it is currently reported in reject status. As for the project the WU you have the client trying to turn in, the last mention I can find for Project 10635 is that it was a beta project. I have not found a notice that it moved to advanced or regular folding since then. If you are registered as a beta tester, you would have to ask about the project in the forum section for beta testers. Perhaps you might get an idea on when the server would be back. If not a beta tester, you may not get any help outside that forum.

So the answer to the original question is:
As far as anybody knows, server 171.67.108.26 will never be fixed but if you had asked about 171.64.65.56 we could have told you it WILL be fixed.

This is clearly explained in the first topic in this forum: Troubleshooting Server Connectivity Issues (Do This First). Do not report problems with a Collection Server -- but rather with the Work Server.
