I installed Folding@Home on Ubuntu using the command line. I have no idea how to set up remote monitoring, any ideas how to do it?
I used these steps to install folding@home: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Foldi ... ah_install
I typed in the IP address of the Ubuntu machine into my v7 client on the Mac and it doesn't show anything, it just says 'connecting'
If you know how to set it up, please tell me in very simple instructions.

Re: Remotely monitoring Folding@Home
In very simple terms, you followed outdated instructions, from a 3rd party provider. It would have been better to have followed the FAH instructions on how to install FAH.
Those instruction mislead you to install the v6 FAH client, which cannot be monitored from the V7 client.

Thanks for the reply,
Is there any way of monitoring it from other software rather than the v7 client?
And running v6 shouldn't be a problem. Right?

As long as you're being assigned work units, the v6 client is ok.
Remote monitoring of v6 is generally done via file sharing and third party tools.
