HD 5670 Stopped Folding

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

HD 5670 Stopped Folding

I have been folding on this computer for awhile and everything was going great until I updated the GPU driver from CCC 12.3 to 12.4. So, once it started failing I dropped back to 12.3 and it still wouldn't work. I have tried completely removing the driver and reinstalling and then tried uninstalling FAH and reinstalling. I don't know what else to do. For the mean time, I have dropped an old 9500GS in to at least keep folding. I know this computer is no power house but I am just trying to help the cause. If there is anything else I need to provide, just let me know. Thanks for help!

You may want to uninstall the new drivers and install a version of CCC not newer then 11.12 to have a version of opencl working under windows xp

Thanks for the reply! In the past I haven't had any luck installing XP drivers on a 64 bit Windows 7 system. Won't this cause issues?

Install the recommended drivers if you run 64-bit Win7.
If you run WinP, do not install anything newer than 11.12.

Thats what I thought. I have the AMD recommended driver installed (12.4). I reverted back to 12.3 temporarily to see if that fixed it but it didn't change. Are there any other recommendations?
