F@H is in registry...

Post by folding@home159 »

And I didn't install it. it keeps starting up every time I use my computer.

the entry is Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\PandeGroup\Folding@home

I uninstalled all my blizzard games although I don't know why this would be included.

Please do a file search for fahlog.txt. The log file info will help tell us the best way to uninstall the Folding client.

Is this your personal computer? Or is it shared?

I did, file not found. I don't share the computer, but I have two accounts on it for safety purposes.

The file might be hidden in a system folder. Most file searches do not search for hidden or system files by default. Make sure to search with those options turned on.

Another option is to look at the task manager, and look for a program running that starts with fah... Then search for that file name. Once we find it, we can remove it. Thanks.
