Hey guys. So I got my second computer up and running. I built this solely to fold 24/7. However I have run into a snag.
When I am setting up the advanced settings in the config in command prompt, when I get to the last step, IP address to bind core to (for viewer), I get an error:
faho.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
So I cant get setting saved which means it doesnt have my login name or our team number.
I have re downloaded, and reinstalled numerous times. This is a completely fresh windows install with nothing on it but google chrome and all drivers. I am at a loss of what to try next.

Hi there krisco65, welcome to the forum!
What client is this? You mentioned that you're under Windows.
There should be installation links on the website. If I remember right, you don't need to change that IP value at all. Did you try to change it?

Be sure to always use the -smp flag in v6, even when using -config or -configonly.
How to provide enough information to get helpful support

Im using windows XP. I followed the installation and it worked well on my main computer which is using windows 7. I did the same thing on this computer but am having the issue. I dont try to change anything but the cpu usage. Once I get to the last step in command prompt which is the ip selection it errors out, thus not remembering to up my cpu usage. I use -configonly -smp

Are you entering something at IP selection? or just hitting [Enter] to go past?
If entering an IP selection, could you try just hitting [Enter] to go past it?
Answering the question about the client version would also be helpful.

ugh, this again. Ive had this before and found deleting the config file and redoing the setup again is the only sure way to not crash out .
