F@h: Copyright in general (and PS3)

Post by Torque »

Hello!

I am a developer of internet content. Our website has decided to join the F@h project as soon as possible.

Is it possible, to use Stanford media, like the official F@h image?
# (Stanford-FAH: Download)
# (Stanford-FAH: Main)

Is it also allowed to modify these images and upload them to our website (and/or facebook fanpage)?
Are there any other copyright instructions we have to pay attention to?

We also want to release an official video-tutorial for the PS3 and upload it to our website (and/or youtube).
Are there any Sony employees in this forum? should I post this additionally in the "PlayStation3 client"-sector on this forum to ask for permission?

To pay the servers, we show banner advertisement at our homepage.
This means, that the costs which will be produced, caused by the traffic (e.g. guides), could be paid indirectly by the Folding@Home project (just by showing advertisement).
Is this ok? (We haven't started anything yet at our website)

We want to help Stanford! To gain maximum succes, we're looking forward to work together.

Best regards!

During the development of the client, support staff was here regularly. That's no longer true.
should I post this additionally in the "PlayStation3 client"-sector on this forum to ask for permission?
No.

This is NOT a commercial product. Stanford is not looking for advertising revenue nor will they be participating in programs which do.

All about Folding @ home pages I've visited have used advertising and logos or depictions of Folding. Save Web pages in the Stanford University. :)
Sorry for the translation. This aspect, obliges me to very short and concrete sentences. Little by little he will go forward, also in this field.
Thank you for your understanding. Jorge Barrientos

Hello!

Thank you for answering my questions.
But there is still one important question:

Is it also allowed to modify these images and upload them to our website (and/or facebook fanpage)?

Our aim is, to inform as much people as we can! F@h should be known by much more. There are still too much people out there, who could help with their PCs or PS3s, but don't know the project.

Best regards!
