problem with 6099, run 0, clone 46, gen 82

Post by Sailer »

One of my computers has run into a problem with this project. It is a i7 970 with Corsair 1600mhz ram running at 1320mhz. The project 6099 starts and immediately fails. Log as follows:

[03:40:45] Project: 6099 (Run 0, Clone 46, Gen 82)
[03:40:45]
[03:40:45] Assembly optimizations on if available.
[03:40:45] Entering M.D.
[03:40:51] Mapping NT from 12 to 12
[03:40:51] Completed 0 out of 500000 steps (0%)
[03:41:01] CoreStatus = C0000005 (-1073741819)
[03:41:01] Client-core communications error: ERROR 0xc0000005
[03:41:01] - Attempting to download new core...

I've tried deleting the work folder, queue.dat, and core A3 and restarting several times. each time I get assigned exactly the same project, run, clone, gen and it instantly fails. I have even deleted the entire FAH 6.23 program, reloaded it and tried again, only to get this same project and instant failure. I also tried restarting the computer to clear it. If just goes back to the identical project, run, clone, gen and fails. Something seems wrong, and I don't know what. This computer has been folding reliably for a couple years.

There are two failures in the WU Database so once we get another one, it will be marked as a bad WU.

To get a new WU, please follow this post -> viewtopic.php?p=164322#p164322

step 41000000: Water molecule starting at atom 93408 can not be settled.
Check for bad contacts and/or reduce the timestep if appropriate.
[14:16:34] CoreStatus = 0 (0)

This is what I got the first time I downloaded this unit and I tried it again just to
be sure it wasn't something in the transmission to me over the net and then
deleted the work files and the *.dat files and downloaded a new unit.

I let it retry a few times before i deleted the files to get a different WU, just in case.
