I came across some info about copernicu and I was not sure if this is something we might be able to use some time down the road. I guess I am looking for some more information on this as it looks kinda new. With this new framework is it going to be possible to run a small cluster of computer@home and be able to use all the cpu power to fold useing just one folding@home client/One Work Unit?

There was a topic from last week called Clarification for Copernicus. At that time, the paper had not been released, but it was pretty clear that it's designed for researchers with access to a supercomputer. It's not designed for "small clusters of home computers." If you did happen to have the resources to run it, it would not receive assignments or points from FAH.

The FAH SMP client is currently being used with computers with anywhere from one CPU to 48 CPUs. If you have something bigger than that, please describe your hardware and the Pande Group may be able to work something out. Actually, I don't expect that there's a limitation at 48 CPUs. I think that's just the most that anyone is known to have donated so far.

There are a couple of people that have tried to get F@H running on 128 threads - but i do not know how successful they were. I do remember that they were encountering issues scaling that high - mainly to do with the HT threads
