Out of curiosity, do you have MPI installed on your machine? This fresh install of mine does not have it as it's no longer required, and the cores did not ask for access.
The previous install included MPI and the cores did ask for access.
What are the firewall permissions for the cores? Do they have trusted only, or both trusted & internet?
