This is the second time I did a WU that was worth a lot of points (this time 1698 points) and got nothing in return.

I have no problem with the small ones (69 points). Finishes in less then 1 day. But the big ones that take over a week to run seem to be a waste of time.

Your log shows that the finished WU was not uploaded. due to some type of problem connecting to the work server 171.64.65.99. See viewtopic.php?f=18&t=19877 for more information about that server.

Looks to me that it tried to send the results, but found that someone else completed it. I don't think I can get it to resend it. Can anyone tell me who got credit for this WU? It's all a bit comfusing.

Any way, I just started another long one (1026 points). I hope I get credit for this one.

Server has already received unit.

That most likely means the server has received the WU from you. I checked the database. There are no results for that WU from anyone. I don't see any clues for the server at IP 171.64.65.99 looking at the Server Status page.

The servers never reject a WU because somebody else completed it. Something else is going on which has not been understood yet.

Most of the time WUs are only assigned to one person, at least until it expires. After the preferred deadline expires, it is assigned to someone else so it's possible for more than one person may complete a WU but they both get credit for it.

If a WU expires, it's rejected. WUs can contain corrupt data and then they're rejected. (and there are probably other reasons that I don't know about.) Are you sure the WU didn't expire?

This project (p7808) is set for 1698.09 points, a preferred deadline of 25.23 days, and a final deadline 54.66 days. This project uses the GRO-A4 FAH core software and is hosted by Folding@home server 171.64.65.99.

Don't think it took me more the a week or two to complete.
