Core Download Error

Post by mksmith44 »

I moved from an XP machine to W7. I moved my V5.03 F@H folder to the new machine and started it up, but it seems to be hung, cycling "large WU startup", so I quit after several hundred cycles.
I downloaded and installed V6 for W7, but it is cycling with a "Core download error". I cannot say if the V5 on XP was hung, as I did not check before moving to W7 machine. Could there be a problem with this core? Quitting and restarting gives same results. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike

Are these 32-bit OSs or 64-bit?

Was there an active WU when you moved the client? If so, what WU was it. If not, why did you move the folder?

Please post the log.

64 bit OS. Since I did not quit the analysis, it was probably interrupted. I moved the V5 folder, and after starting it again, saw that it seemed not to be able to load the core. At that time I went to F@H and saw that there was a newer version, so I downloaded the one for W7 64-bit, but am getting the core download error. The logfile last entry is Project 6882. Is that the WU you are asking for?

I installed V7 beta, and it seems to be working, so I haven't included the logfile, which I did overlook. Thanks for your help!
