so here are my pc specs
RAM: 4GB (3.25GB Useable)
32bit
processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.70GHZ
windows 7
grpahics card: ATI Radeon HD 4300 Series
so im wondering how can i speed up my cpu
.
with my pc specs can i get / use GPU?
and whats the difference between cpu fah and gpu fah, give me an answer not a link.
i read some guy does 1-3 Wu's a day, but i can only do around 1 every 2-3 days (the 0/250)

EDIT:
I forgot to mention something else with. my cpu runs as it should and the wu's are recorded but when i press displayer and press f3 or f4, it doesnt show anything, no time limit and the no progress.
but if i hover my mouse on the little icon in the right ahnd corner it tells me.

First off, which client are we talking about here?
the regular systray v6?
If so, you are able to run the SMP client, which will utilize both of your CPU cores. Which will yield you a lot more points then a single Systray.
The difference between the CPU and the GPU client is basically which of your component does the work. The CPU client will run on the CPU, and the GPU will run on the GPU but will use an amount of CPU time.
Yes you can fold on your GPU, however since it's an ATI model it will take up a lot more CPU time then a Nvidia card will. Basically it will take up one entire core per GPU. So if you decide to fold on your GPU you will have to make a choice.
SMP on both CPU cores or GPU client and a Single Uniprocessor client.
The fact that some people complete WU much faster then you is because they will have faster processors (if we are talking about CPU WU that is). My Sandy-Bride MBP @ 2.0Ghz will finish a SMP unit in about 8,5 Hours, whereas my E6400 will do the same amount of work in 23.
Also, the Viewer is not the best solution to viewing the progress off the WU, it's buggy and a resource hog, so it's best not to use it (although this may be fixed in the v7 Beta client, not sure on that)

Re: NEW to folding, what to use
Using SMP with a Passkey will be much faster than a 4300. That is because of bonuses and all that stuff. My 4550 gets about 600 PPD while I can get about 1100 out of my Core 2 Quad before you add the bonus points. (Currently about 1800 PPD with the WU's they are giving out and bonus points added ). AMD cards also use up a ton of CPU (Almost a full core as OEOTS said).
Athlon X2's SHOULD be able to finish an SMP unit, but I'm not sure, I'm an Intel guy. Your best bet is using the new V7 beta client. It's not even really that beta-y, more like a Release Candidate. It'll help you easily tinker around with different combinations of WU's to maximize you PPD. Perhaps 1 Uniprocessor +1 GPU, or just 1 x2 SMP. If you do toy around like that, make sure to hit the "Finish" button so you can finish those WU's. You don't wanna slow down the science aspect of the project since they would have to re-give out that project to someone else once it times out.
And don't use the viewer. It doesn't even really work and uses way too many CPU cycles to have any usefulness.

Re: NEW to folding, what to use
If you want to view the progress if your folding, using the V7 client or a thrid party client like FAHMON will be much more effective.

Re: NEW to folding, what to use
I'm using the linux version of folding and using the terminal, but was wondering how I can see the progress. The actual viewer like in windows or the PS3 versions.
