When i had the 9 in there. and added the queueinfo it locked and closed the program (like a crash). If you want me do that on purpose, no problem.

You don't need a shortcut for the systray client, all flags are entered in the systray configuration.

If you mean modifying a shortcut, I agree. Actually, the same is true for Console version.

I've had no issues with 6.23 yet, although I have yet to run the systray client on 7.


I would suggest the following:

1) With the client running, right-click the tray icon, select Configure.

2) Select the advanced tab. Mine looks like this.




3) At the bottom is a place for flags. (Additional Client Parameters) Enter -verbosity 9 in this box and click OK to save. Note: do not enter single use flags like -queueinfo

4) Stop client. (right-click icon, Quit)

5) Remove all flags from all shortcuts.

6) Restart client

7) To access the queue, right click the tray icon > Status > Queue info. It will look like this:



You can check any slot by selecting it from the dropdown menu.

8) To write the Queue info to the log, click on 'Copy to log', then click OK.

The instructions I linked are showing you how to add the flag to a shortcut that starts the client. This one works with -queueinfo.

The window that Amaruk posted is in the actual client setup (configuration), and this one does not work with -queueinfo.

Two very different things.

unijabnx2000, Since your client has sucessfully returned work both before and after the failed uploads, it would appear that it is functioning normally.

All of the failed uploads are for a single server (171.67.108.33) which has had a fairly high CPU load for some time. Please try the following links:

If you get an error trying to open them, please let us know.

If you get either a blank page or one that reads OK, then your client should be able to return the WUs. If this is not happening the most likely reason is because the server is too busy. The best course of action would be to let the client run normally. The client will continue to retry uploading these 5 WUs at regular intervals, and they should go through as soon as the server is able to accept them.

If this does not happen by the end of this weekend, let us know.

That page was last updated over 4 years ago. (27th of December, 2006) At that time the option 'Additional Client Parameters' did not exist, so editing a shortcut was the only option.

And it's not so much how you're 'supposed' to do it - it's more like using different methods to accomplish the same thing. I may have one approach while (for example) 7im has another. One doner may like my suggestion while another prefers 7im's. In the end both doners get the help they need, and that's what we're here for.

I know you said you disabled your firewall, but please try again. Disable ALL of your security software long enough for FAH to attempt to upload again. Often there is a firewall built into virus protection software or anti-spyware software that isn't explicitly called a firewall. Also please confirm that you do not use a proxy.
