171.67.108.25 Not Accepting

Post by davebodger »

I've been trying to upload a completed WU to 171.67.108.25 since 07:13 BST.
Time now is 11:55 BST.
Server status page shows status of "standby" and "Not Accepting".

Here's hoping it's fixed soon.

What is the URL for the server status page? I'm also suffering from the same issue on this occasion.

Status of this server seems unchanged at the time of this post. ~16:13 BST. :(

Sorry, I was rather lazy there, it's easy to find with a quick google. Thanks anyway!

Hopefully it comes back to life soon! I know that it's not all about the points but my bonus points are floating away!

Yes, the feeling is mutual.

I don't know if the status of "standby" rather than "down" means they have been taken down deliberately or not, or just failed of their own accord.
Perhaps someone will come along shortly who knows what's up? :?

I don't know if you've seen this thread: http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=19032. It's for the same server and seems that someone will be taking care of it when people get to work. I believe that it's still very early at Stanford so we'll be waiting another hour or more before someone can deal with it.

No, I had not looked at that one.

My appologies, I have looked back through my logs carefully and found that the initial failed upload was indeed to 171.64.65.54:8080 and then :80 , so the other thread is indeed the one to follow.

I will read more carefully in future before posting.

Please read this topic viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17794

This is a Collection Server, not a Work Server. The Pande Group are award of a number of issues with Collection Servers which are being worked on, but CSs are always considered a secondary issue, not a primary issue. In the short-term, do not expect any action on issues associated with a CS.

In every case, there's a primary Work Server to which your WU should be returned. The Pande Group will concentrate on fixing that server. Search your log for the address of the primary WS, ignoring the information about the CS. Then check this forum for a topic associated with that address.

"davebodger" got it right (though there may be several WSs associated with this particular CS):
My apologies, I have looked back through my logs carefully and found that the initial failed upload was indeed to 171.64.65.54:8080 and then :80 , so the other thread is indeed the one to follow.
