How can backup my Folding@Home profile ?

Post by exia »

Hello!
I'm using Folding@Home in windows xp now.
But I will change the operating system (maybe is windows 7) in a few weeks after.
So I don't know how can backup my Folding@Home profile.
Anyone can help me solve this question ?
Thank you.

Welcome to foldingforum.org, exia.

There's very little that really needs to be backed up, and it depends on whether you're running a V6 client or a V7 client. Before you overwrite XP, be sure to finish the "current" WU. (We can help you with that.) Then there's one file that you can copy from an old install to a new installation or you can just answer the installation questions again like you did the first time. (We can help you with that, too, once you tell us which client you're running.)

The history of what you've completed is maintained on the servers at Stanford.
