Flat Files with Passkeys?

Post by OverK1LL »

I would like to generate stats for the Overclock[dot]net Team Competition, however the Flat File does not contain passkeys (for obvious reasons).

Is there anyway to generate stats for the team competitors while still abiding by F@H rules?

The current flat files do not contain passkeys but rather a total associated with that UserName. The Pande Group is working on a plan to provide an alternate form of flat files which will give you the sort of information you're looking for without actually revealing the passkeys themselves. More information will be available "soon"

I was curious if there was an estimate on when we'd actually see the changeover? I'm hoping to have stats running for the next Chimp Challenge folding competition, and need to ensure I have accurate data.

Bump. I was hoping it was going to be live by now. It has been a little over a week and the article stated it should be up in a "few days". I'm not upset, just super psyched! Does anyone have any information on this?

Putting out the feelers again as we're within 2 weeks of the start of the major inter team folding competition - This change really has a pretty big effect on how we'll handle the statistics and points for the competition.

PS The old files won't go away for a while (several months) even after the new one is available, so you could just plan to go with the current style flat files.

Ahhh, so they'll be offered concurrently! Excellent!! I was misunderstanding it to be that you were just cutting the existing system over.

Thank you for the update!

We've contacted 3rd party stats operators with some additional information and are working with them directly. If you run a 3rd party stats site and haven't been contacted, could you email me directly?
