171.64.65.54 not uploading - please help

Post by One_Box »

I installed Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit on my new 2600K rig a couple of days ago.

It has been happily processing SMP WUs and uploading them without problem to 128.143.199.96.

However, I noticed early this morning that it had started to download from the dreaded (at least for me) 171.64.65.54

Downloading from this server went without problem and I got the usual CoreStatus = 64 (100) on completion.

It will not however upload to 171.64.65.54 (project 6023 (R 0, C 68, G 499)). It has failed 18 times over a ten hour period

(I used the -oneunit flag and am using the latest 6.34 client.)

I have had problems with 171.64.65.54 in the past and have recently stopped SMP foding on 2 Win 7 machines because of it.

I know there is nothing wrong with my internet connection and can return GPU WUs without problem.

My ISP does not block IP addresses or limit uploads of data. If I enter http://171.64.65.54 into a browser I get OK returned.

I would really appreciate it if someone could look at the server or alternatively explain how I may avoid it in the future.

Thank you for your help

WU 6203 finally uploaded after 38 hours :o

I can only assume someone has kicked the server; if they have, thanks!

I know it would have lost bonus points but hope it is of some use to the project.
