Serverstat shows that a large number of assigns are being distributed from that machine and it has been that way all weekend, but I don't get the OK message either so something is really strange. Maybe just too many people all trying to get work from the same server at the same time.
Server stat indicates increasing CPU load and stagnant WUs Available since Tue Dec 7 07:10:10 PST 2010. Perhaps the remaining WUs available are beta only so this is expected, however shouldn't the AS take the class of workunit into account and send clients elsewhere?

It takes anywhere from one to four hours to correct itself; reset and restart has no apparent effect.
One question I have is why the Assignment server keeps sending me back to the same WU Server 5 - 15 times in a row? I was under the impression there was a two-bit counter to prevent continuous assignment, or was that upgraded out after Ver.4?
